The Sir Francis Bacon Shorty for young skiers is back this year at Line. It is a ski designed for all-mountain use with a focus on freeride for kids at an intermediate level.
If your idea of a perfect day's skiing is having a blast in the fresh snow and throwing down little tricks on all the natural rails and kicks, the Sir Francis Bacon Shorty is for you.
The 107mm waist and the symmetrical shape provide great manoeuvrability in fresh snow and allow you to get off the ground without difficulty. The SFB Shorty is very responsive thanks to the 4D Fibercap and Fatty Base technologies that reinforce the ski at specific points, helping to extend its life. The Aspenlite core, the relatively soft flex, and the Early Taper shape at the ends make for a lighter ski that is accommodating to edge faults in powder. You'll enjoy riding these skis all day as you improve.
As the talented co-developer of these skis Eric Pollard says, the Sir Francis Bacon Shorty is a real Freeride-Backcountry ski for children. With a new pattern based on the Sir Francis Bacon for adults, kids will be able to have the same skis as their parents and their idols!
