Mega Mercury 2023
The Mega Mercury is a snowboard from Capita. It is designed for all-mountain use and for intermediate to advanced snowboarders.
The Mega Mercury is, as its name indicates, the advanced version of the Mercury. It has the same spirit and versatility but with a completely new construction, more powerful, more precise and more incisive.
Equipped with the most versatile camber from Capita, the Mercury offers a mix of classic camber between inserts, rockers on the outside of the inserts and WAH-POW! tips. The Resort V2 Profile camber also offers excellent grip at high speeds and optimal float in powder. The 3D Thermopolymer Starship core certified by the FSC (environmental protection label) brings plenty of pop tthanks to the poplar wood and a phenomenal precision with the addition of three polymer strips along the length of the board.
For even more reactivity and energy restitution, the Mega Mercury has wide strips of carbon above and below the core. In addition, a Holysheet layer of triaxial glass fibre impregnated with Magic Bean resin is present under the topsheet. While these technologies may not have impressive names, we can assure you that you'll notice them with every turn you take. The slightest pressure on the board will be returned immediately for a dynamic ride with no loss of speed.
The shape and the directional flex are coupled with a 12.7mm setback to enhance handling and flotation in powder. So the Mega Mercury offers optimal performance for freestyle/all-mountain riding, perfect for charging the entire mountain and sending big stuff off-piste.

Camber:
Resort V2 Profile : Combining a standard and reverse camber. Positive camber between presses for grip and support. Reverse camber (rocker) for tolerance, float in powder, and easier turning. This new camber provides the pop and responsiveness of a standard camber board, with the handling and tolerance of a reverse camber board.
WAH-POW! tips : A break in the tip(s) that provides a stronger recovery than a rocker, for increased lift and manoeuvrability in powder.
Shape:
Directional: shape with the bindings a little further back towards the tail and a slightly longer nose for better flotation in deep snow.

- FSC Certified 3D Thermopolymer Starship Core: Made from the highest quality poplar wood possible and respectful of deforestation. Reinforced with recycled polymer tubing to create a durable, responsive hybrid core.
- Megacarbon Array: carbon fibre reinforcements A wide 120mm band under the core and two 50mm bands each above that develop a tremendous pop and increased precision in every turn. This is the brand's most powerful finish and the Mega Mercury is the only board to feature this technology.

- HolySheet Tri/Tri Fiberglass & Magic Bean Resin: Triaxial fibreglass placed above and below the core to guarantee resistance, durability, and optimal performance. Magic Bean Resin is a resin made from 60% recycled materials and beans that reinforces and enhances the characteristics of fibreglass!
- Megalite Skin Topsheet: Ultra-thin, yet equally durable topsheet for 60% less weight and more performance.
Base:
- HyperDrive base: New version of sintered sole in ultra high density polyethylene, designed with additives and high molecular weight to obtain a high quality anti-friction sole. Fastest and most solid base in the range.
- New Age Directional Sidecut with Death Grip: Reduced sidecut due to hybrid shape but counterbalanced by an almost constant contact point, the Death Grip for edge grip as if you were on rails.
