The Family Tree range is a snowboard range developed by Burton which aims to offer freeride snowboards with innovative shapes and features.
The Family Tree Hometown Hero Splitboard is a unisex touring snowboard offered by Burton.
The Splitboard Hometown Hero is the equivalent of the Hometown Hero but this is a splitboard model. This splitboard will give you your best backcountry touring experiences! This board has been designed to go absolutely everywhere ! You'll have the best sensations with the Hometown Hero. This board can ride everywhere and in all conditions.
Its directional shape and nose rocker will allow you to float above the pow. Its 12mm taper allows for easy turns, no matter how steep the slope.
The splitboard system from Burton, Channel Split, will make transitions easier and, as well as being robust and adjustable, will enable you to save precious time when assembling your board.
For lovers of uncharted terrains, this Hometown Hero Splitboard will prove to be reliable, sturdy and comfortable both uphill and downhill.
Camber - Directional camber : The directional camber profile has camber under both feet for optimal stability in deep turns and variable conditions, and a Rocker nose which provides height and better float.
Shape - Directional (taper: 12mm): The directional Freeride shape features a camber and sidecut centered on your stance to create a freestyle twin stance when riding flat base. On edge, it turns fast and tight with the float and skill of a directional board.
Flex - Twin: Twin Flex is perfectly symmetrical from nose to tail for balance and versatility, whether you're riding regular or switch.
Core - FSC® Certified Super Fly II® 700G Core with Dualzone® EGD® and Squeezebox : The Super Fly II 700G core features a stronger, lighter wood to provide a high level of responsiveness and strength, while reducing overall weight. Wood grain is designed with Dualzone EGD and positioned along the edges, under the toe and heel in two continuous zones, perpendicular to the rest of the wood core, for consistent edge hold and enhanced energy.
Fiberglass - 45° Carbon Highlights : The Carbon Highlights 45° fiberglass construction optimizes each layer of the fiberglass matrix and adds an integral carbon coating to reduce weight and refine twist feel.
Base - Recycled Sintered WFO : The WFO sintered base features a specially formulated wax deep into the pores of its extra-absorbent high-density material, making it extremely durable for all season riding in all conditions.
Technology:
- The Channel® : The Split Channel snowboard mounting system is the strongest, fastest, easiest and most adjustable mounting system ever offered on a splitboard and comes with pre-mounted pucks for easy installation.
- Frostbite Edges : edges that extend out slightly around the mountings for better edge grip.
- Epoxy Super Sap® Super Sap® is a resin made from biological materials that reduces the carbon footprint by 50% compared to conventional petroleum-based epoxies. Reduced oil consumption means a smaller carbon footprint for every snowboard, which definitely works in our favour.
- Infinite Ride™: this technology ensures that the snowboard retains its initial flex, pop and behaviour throughout its lifespan.
- Pro-Tip™: the nose and tail are thinner than the rest of the board, for more lightness and improved handling.
