With their worked shape and high quality materials, the Backland 78 are ideal for demanding ski tourers, who are looking for as light and high performing skis for climbing, as descending.
With a 78mm waist, they are the thinnest and lightest skis from the Backland range. Their light weight makes climbing easier, thanks in particular to the 100% wooden Ultra Light Woodcore made of poplar and Karuba.
The Backland 78 feature an all-mountain rocker at the tip, as well as revolutionary HRZN technology at the tip which increases the surface area of the skis at the front for a better lift and confident and rapid progress, without deviation. Master your skis in all circumstances, even on hard snow!
In addition, the Step Down Sidewall structure guarantees optimal resistance and shock absorption as well as excellent grip on all types of terrain.

Ultra Light Woodcore: Made from poplar and Karuba wood, this core minimises the weight of the ski to give you a real advantage when climbing.
Dura Cap Sidewall: Solid edge construction under the bindings, from the sole to the lining, for good power transmission control and exceptional grip.
Spatula HRZN Tech: The HRZN Tech increases the surface of the tip of the skis by 10%. For phenomenal lift in powder, reduced tip deviation and better behaviour in trampled snow.
