Aviator 2.0 2023
An already mythical board at Jones, the Aviator has a new look and becomes Aviator 2.0. This new, lighter, reworked generation comes out of the factory with the objective to bring home more medals than its big brother. And believe us, it has the potential to do so.
Brand new addition of Koroyd in the power core at the tip. The board is lighter, more resistant to impact, and also gains precision and pop. Speaking of pop, the Aviator 2.0 is full of it. Its Koroyd insert, Full Camber and flex rating of 8/10 enable you to jump as high as you wish. Perfect to do series of tricks at the park or in the backcountry.
The Aviator 2.0 is razor-sharp and provides you with impressive edge grip in all snow conditions. This is due to its Traction tech 3.0 edges, and really make the difference in very hard snow, or on steep slopes. Despite its small size, the Aviator 2.0 is great on powder days! Since it is equipped with the 3D Base contour 2.0, the lack of rocker is hardly noticeable in fresh snow. The nose and tail spoon shape ensures great float, which will challenge that of powder boards.
Jones is committed to the environment through their manufacturing processes and materials used in the construction of the Aviator. The core wood comes from eco-managed forests. The ABS inserts, edges and top sheet are made from recycled materials. Finally, the paint and wax used for the sole are eco-friendly too.
This emblematic Jones board would just be a pure park snowboard if it did not feature the Freeride DNA of the brand. This makes this a very versatile board which can be used both in fresh, deep snow or spring snow conditions, without forgetting about your favourite tricks!
- Camber: True Camber : classic camber with a long edge and two short, symmetrical rockers. It features a very short, flat zone between the rocker and camber. Its edge is very long, with limited contact due to its slightly bevelled shape.

Traction Tech 3.0 : The bumps on the edges offer multiple contact points along the board. This technology offsets the edge drift of the rocker, so that you can firmly lock into any moves.
Progressive Sidecut : The radius at the ends of the sidecut is slightly increased as the edge reaches the contact points. This larger radius ensures a smoother ride when entering and exiting turns.

Koroyd: Developed from the aerospace industry, this award-winning core is the lightest core and provides the best cushioning we've ever tested. It absorbs vibrations, and offers more response without extra weight.
Topsheet :
Triax Fiberglass : couche de fibre de verre appliquée dans de multiples directions pour une planche précise et qui a du répondant sur n'importe quel terrain et n'importe quelle neige.
ECO-Plastic TopSheet : recycled plastic obtained from the Ricin plant. This eco-friendly material is ultra-light, scratch-resistant and water-repellent to prevent snow from sticking to the topsheet.
- Sole :
- Sintered 8000 base: base made from UHMW-PE (Ultra-High Molecular Weight Polyethylene) and carbon. Extremely easy to repair, with maximum acceleration and glide.
Technologies :
- Oversized Recycled Edges : edges made of recycled steel.
- Recycled Black ABS : ABS plastic in Jones boards is made from recycled plastic.
- Wend Natural Wax: ready to use as soon as they leave the factory, Jones snowboards are already waxed with Wend Natural Wax.
- Super Sap Bio Resin : all Jones boards are now built with bio-based, renewable epoxy instead of petroleum-based epoxy. The raw materials used to make Super Sap Bio-Resin are co-products or waste products of other plant-based industrial processes. Producing Super Sap requires 33% less greenhouse gas emissions than traditional epoxy.
Factory tuned The sole is prepared to go from the shop to the mountain.

Ce qu'il faut bien comprendre, c'est que l' Aviator 2.0 ne fait pas dans la demi-mesure. Le choix de la référence snowboard du Freeride World Tour, Victor De Le Rue, s'est d'ailleurs porté sur cette board....
Et on comprend pourquoi! Loin d'envoyer les mêmes lignes que lui, nous avons pris un plaisir fou à rider la vraie machine qu'est l'Aviator. Peut importe où vous l'enmenez, elle n'a aucunes limites, et vous ne pourrez la prendre à défaut. Que ce soir dans en carving, dans la poudreuse, en pente raide, ou même dans le park, elle est tout simplement la meilleure.
