Description

The Mountain Twin 2024 is a well-known board in the Jones snowboard range. They are suitable for both intermediate and advanced riders.

The 2024 edition is equipped with the Control Core, which is more environmentally friendly as it is made entirely of sustainably produced wood and is as efficient as ever. It is made of Paulownia and Poplar stingers that keep the board light and absorb a maximum of vibrations.

Like last year's board, the Mountain Twin 2024 has a Topsheet made from recycled castor oil plastic and a Biax Fiberglass layer that stiffens the board and ensures excellent energy return when it is put under tension.

The Mountain Twin's playful twin directional shape makes the board ideal for freestyle use: park, pipe... Its (7/10) rigidity, Camrock camber, and Traction Tech 3.0 wavy edges provide the bite and control needed to make sharp and precise turns.

It features the Freeride/Freestyle Pack which allows you to configure the board for more freeride or freestyle riding depending on your mood and the snow conditions.

The Mountain Twin is a board for intermediate to advanced riders who want a versatile board that allows them to ride any slope as if it were a huge snowpark.

Attention: In an effort to reduce waste, Jones makes 2 different colour bases, delivered randomly.

Camber:

CamRock: Classic camber combined with rocker, for greater lift and grip in all snow conditions. Long nose and tip rockers for a huge increase in playfulness and handling. The Camrock considerably improves freestyle performance and powder lift.

Shape:

Twin Directional: Symmetrical shape for ultra-nimble handling. Allows for easy switch riding.

Blunt Nose : the blunt nose provides the lift benefits of a longer nose without the rounded shape and extra weight.

Traction Tech 3.0: The corrugated edges offer multiple contact points along the board which improves grip. This technology offsets the reduced length of the edge/snow contact points due to rocker.

Progressive Sidecut: The radius at the ends of the sidecut is slightly increased as the edge reaches the contact points. This larger radius ensures a smoother ride when entering and exiting turns.

Technologies:

- Forever Flex: A manufacturing process that durably stabilizes the flex and rocker profile of the board.

- Control Core: Dual density wooden core with paulownia hardwood slats for more pop and strength.

- Biax Fiberglass: a dual-directional fibreglass laminate for a precise and responsive board, whatever the terrain and snow conditions.

- Sintered 8000 base: Base made from UHMW-PE (Ultra-High Molecular Weight Polyethylene) and carbon. Extremely easy to repair, it also offers maximum glide properties.

-Flip-Flop base: Base manufacturing process that reduces waste. Two base colours available, delivered randomly.

-Eco-Plastic Topsheet: Topsheet made from castor beans. This environmentally friendly material is ultra-light, chip and scratch resistant and repels water and snow (snow sticks less to the topsheet).

- Freeride/Freestyle Pack:Allows you to centre or move the bindings back on the board depending on the conditions.

- Recycled ABS: - The ABS plastics in Jones boards are made from recycled plastic.

- Wend Natural Wax: Waxed with natural Wend wax, Jones boards are ready to use straight from the factory.

- Bio Resin: All Jones boards are now built with bio-based, renewable epoxy instead of petroleum based epoxy.

Team review

Despite its 7/10 flex, the Mountain Twin is quite supple in torsion, which makes it more pleasant on landings that are sometimes a little too hard.

The Mountain Twin has a classic camber underfoot, so you're always in control and can use the powerful pop when you need it. It's well centred on the stance, so the board is as stable in the air as it is on snow. Its directional twin shape makes it very easy to handle.

The Mountain Twin is an excellent all-round board that's a little less radical than its big sister, the Ultra Mountain Twin.
