Within the "Surf Series" from Jones, the Mind Expander Twin is definitely the least exclusive. As a reminder, the "Surf Series" range includes Jones boards that are shaped by Christenson, and therefore have a surf-inspired profile. With its double rocker, the Mind expader Twin is no exception to the rule, and therefore offers a high level of flotation even in the deepest powder.
This is a perfect pure Twin and Freeride board combo, the mix between its shape and sidecut ensures great tricks. But the Mind Expander Twin does not only allow you to have great powder days. Equipped with traction tech 3.0 edges and a classic camber, it offers perfect grip for transitions and speed before bumps.
A real example of stability, the Mind Expander Twin is a true boat that will never sink. It can indeed count on the 3D Base Contour xhich offers more flotation than a classic board, thus allowing it to be ridden shorter. In order to make most of the board on heavy snowfall days, it offers the possibility of mounting the bindings in the middle of the board or with a slight setback to gain lift.
The Mind Expander Twin is the pen you need to record your best riding sessions on these white pages of powder!

Flex : 6/10 - medium/rigid
Side cuts: 300-264-300 for the 158cm size
Turn radius: 7.30 m for the 158 cm model
Camber:
Christenson Surf camber Rocker : Nose and tail rocker designed by shaper Chris Christenson. Very long rocker that starts at the front and rear binding mounts. Corresponds to the rocker profile of a surfboard and allows for very high buoyancy in powder snow.
Shape :
Twin Tip : symmetrical shape for excellent handling. Allows for easy switch riding.
Blunt Nose: the blunt nose provides the lift benefits of a longer nose without the rounded shape and extra weight.
Traction Tech 3.5: The bumps on the edges offer multiple contact points along the board which improves grip. This technology offsets the reduced length of the edge/snow contact points due to rocker.
3D Contour Base 3.0: convex base. The edges are raised by 7mm in comparison to the centre of the board.
Progressive Sidecut: The radius at the ends of the sidecut is slightly increased as the edge reaches the contact points. This larger radius ensures a smoother ride when entering and exiting turns.
Technology :
- Forever Flex: A manufacturing process that durably stabilizes the flex and rocker profile of the board.
- Bamboo Surf Core: Triple-density bamboo core made of bamboo strips along the edges for better response and more powerful turns.
- Power Sustainable Basalt Stringers : 100% natural basalt stringers. Each support becomes more powerful and the torsional stiffness of the board is improved.
- Biax Fiberglass: a dual-directional fibreglass laminate for a precise and responsive board, whatever the terrain and snow conditions.
- Eco-Plastic Topsheet: Topsheet made from castor beans. This environmentally friendly material is ultra-light, chip and scratch resistant and repels water and snow (snow sticks less to the topsheet).
- Base : Sole made of UHMW-PE (Ultra-High Molecular Weight Polyethylene) and carbon. Extremely easy to repair, it also offers maximum glide properties.
- Freeride/Freestyle Pack:Allows you to centre or move the bindings back on the board depending on the conditions.
- Recycled Rounded ABS : - The ABS plastics in Jones boards are made from recycled plastic.
- Wend Natural Wax: Waxed with natural Wend wax, Jones boards are ready to use straight from the factory.
- Bio Resin: All Jones boards are now built with bio-based, renewable epoxy instead of petroleum based epoxy.
- Flip-Flop base: Base manufacturing process that reduces waste. Two base colours available that are delivered randomly.
