The Milligram Split from Amplid is a men's splitboard for advanced to expert riders.
When we talk about a light splitboard, one name often comes up and its that of the Milligram. The Milligram has made itself a favourite amongst all the other splitboards that bring technicality and lightness. So light that it almost flies!
Weighing only 2.5kg in size 158, the board offers a revolutionary weight for those who like splitboarding. Its construction with its balsa, pauwlonia and birch core combined with the Full Carbon Jacket contain the secret of its legendary lightness.
Its shape makes it easy to ride on the Big Mountain and for long rides. A freeride board with exemplary downhill performance, its exceptional reactivity, its explosive pop and its fluid and expressive flex make it a pleasure to enjoy every moment that will happily reward you for every metre climbed.
A low-viscosity epoxy resin from the aerospace industry guarantees that each centimetre squared of the core and the carbon fibre is well soaked during manufacture for better grip. The excess resin is ejected from the sandwich construction using a high-powered press. Fibreglass inserts have been placed in the critical areas to protect the topsheet of the board from impacts on the splitboard's bindings.
Like each Amplid splitboard, the Milligram is delivered pre-assembled with its clips, which secure the two parts of the splitboard for improved performance when riding.

Camber :
Cruise Camber (Camber+rocker) : The standard camber under the supports complemented by the nose rocker makes the board even more lively in powder snow and gives the board the possibility to go anywhere.
Shape :
Tapered Directional : classic shape with the nose slightly longer than the tail for excellent float on fresh powder. Tapered refers to a shape in which the tip is wider than the tail, making it easier to enter and exit turns, allowing for greater the stability at high speeds, and improved float.
Floatation Tips : the square nose increases the flotation of the board in powder snow.
Core :
BBP Core : ultra-light wood core based on pauwlonia, balsa and birch.
Full Carbon Jacket : carbon layer that provides maximum strength to the core. Carbon fibre allows the use of thinner, almost weightless laminates to achieve the same flex profile. Boosts the board's capabilities.
Pre-cured Impact Plates : core reinforcement at fastener inserts limiting impacts caused by bindings
- Topsheet:
Aero Epoxy : double layer of fibreglass applied in both directions for a reactive and tolerant board.
Glass Impact Pads : fibreglass reinforcement pads placed at the bindings. The angles of aluminum splitboard bindings can damage the topsheet of the board. Glass Impact Pads improve the durability of the board.
Nano Film : topsheet reinforced on the exposed areas with a thin polyamide layer.
Sole :
Sint 7 HD base : premium wax-absorbing sintered sole for unrivalled glide.
Powder Pontoon : carbon reinforcements.
Bolted Tip Clips : use of screws instead of rivets. Easier to change in case of breakage.
Splitboard Tune: the edges are slightly rounded at the ends make putting skins on and off easy.
