Description

The Mana 3 2024 is an All-mountain Freestyle ski for men from Faction.

The Mana range offers high performance twin-skis adapted to both all-mountain and freestyle skiing. It includes 3 men's models and 2 women's models ranging from 102 to 119 mm wide. All of them follow the same guideline, they are light thanks to a poplar core but reinforced in certain key areas, notably with carbon, for maximum responsiveness. The result is a ski with a lot of pop and float with maintained landing stability. The double tip, which makes it easy to ski in switch, makes the Mana range of skis very suitable for your sessions in the park.

This intermediate model of the Mana 3range has a 76mm waist, which makes it a ski with with even better efficiency than the Mana 2 on the different snows encountered on the slopes. It is nonetheless a very versatile ski that performs well in all conditions. Faithful to the Mana range: all-mountain, off-piste or park... there's nothing it can't handle!

Looking for a ski that is as strong in powder as it is in the park? Then you're sure to love Mana 3 2024!

Shape
:
Mana Progressive Twin
Its slightly tapered tip and heel are combined with elliptical radius sidecut lines for maximum control and efficient, precise carving. A generous rocker combined with a light camber brings wonderful sensations and gives new energy to transform your day. The new CT range has been designed to adapt the shape to different practices, from big powder with the 5.0 to groomed slopes with the 1.0. We have set the new standard for this increasingly popular category of high performance all-mountain skis with a preference for freestyle.

Construction
Poplar lightweight core
Poplar is a soft, light-coloured, lightweight and strong wood that has good flex and pop, as well as a high capacity to absorb vibrations. When used alone, this wood provides pop, which makes it easy to make butters and offers great stability when landing, three attributes necessary for a park ski, but also the torsional stability to ensure good grip on the pistes.

Titanium / Rubber Stomp Pad
Titanium and rubber reinforcements under the foot increase the resistance of our freestyle skis where it is most critical. In addition to protecting the wooden core from impacts when landing on rails, this carbon reinforcement adds stability and vibration absorption under your boots, allowing you and your skis to land smoothly.

Side cuts with elliptic radii
The sidecuts with elliptic radii consist of a longer radius underfoot and shorter radius on the front and rear parts of the ski. The long radius underfoot allows for faster and easier pivoting, while the shorter radii allow turns to be started more gently. These sidecuts are perfectly suited to a wide range of turn angles and sizes.

XL 2.5 mm Edges
One might think that seven tenths of a millimetre doesn't have much of an effect, but when it comes to edges, everything matters. The 2.5 mm edges are 35% thicker than our standard 1.8 mm edges, which are already very sturdy. This addition of steel allows the riders to have a ski that will resist longer to the "stresses" associated with certain techniques.

Flex boat
The large rocker is complemented by stronger, stiffer tips and tails to help stabilize the skis and propel them through variable snow. In addition, the rigid tips absorb more vibration when skiers hit the ground after taking off. Just add a little more flex under the foot to allow the skis to react on demand.

Full Strength Sidewall
The full strength sidewall is a construction that applies layers of protective material along the edges of the sidewall, between the edge and the topsheet from above. The edges offer the best possible stability and grip when turning, while protecting the wooden core, edges and cover sheet from possible external impacts and damage.

Tip and tail cap
For our skis with cap construction in the tip and tail, we place ultra-strong sidewalls in the centre of the ski but wrap the topsheet around the edge of the ski in the tip and tail. This protects the ski from impacts and thus improves its durability, while reducing the total weight of the ski, favouring freestyle and ski touring.

Specific Mana stance
For the Manaseries, the narrowest point of the ski is the centre of the radius, which happens to be the most intuitive place to initiate a freestyle turn. The mounting here also works wonders for carving and popping from the back and front of your skis.

At Faction, there are three possible mounting options: Classic / Progressive (+1.5cm) / Newschool (+3cm). By default, assemblies will be carried out in accordance with the brand's recommendations, i.e. Classic on the Dancer and Agent, Progressive on the Machine and Prodigy and Newschool on the Mana.

Team review
