FUTURELIGHT™
The revolutionary product of a culmination of four years of laboratory research and field testing, The North Face has incorporated their FUTURELIGHT™ membrane into the flagship products of its lines. This cutting-edge technology, born from the needs of the greatest athletes, is based on a unique process developed by the brand: it aims to adapt the benefits provided by each product by modulating the spinning of the membrane and the density of the fabric, in order to perfectly meet the requirements of each practice.
Each membrane is constructed using an exclusive, bespoke nano-filament weave, integrated into the fabric with a DWR water repellent treatment. This design process offers exceptional breathability, proven waterproofness, unsurpassed comfort due to the softness of the fabric, and the excellent material durability. The manufacturing promotes the brand's eco-responsible approach, which is at the heart of its concerns in the development of this innovation, by integrating 90% recycled materials into the products, by opting for a PFC-free DWR treatment and plasma lamination requiring reduced water consumption.
