The Kingpin 13 is a ski touring binding from Marker.

With this model, Marker has revolutionised insert bindings and as a result ski touring as a whole. The Kingpin 13 has been developed around three axes: protection, performance and comfort. For this purpose, the brand has developed a system that is completely different from the models already on the market. Equipped with a carbon fibre system, it features an insert toe piece associated with an innovative Kingpin heel-piece which takes up the concepts of an alpine heel-piece. The result? A much more efficient transmission, more precision and comfort for a ski that is smoother, more comfortable and performs better.

The front insert system allows the skier to maintain a very good reach during ascents, and the revolutionary heel piece brings all the precision and power the skier needs during technical descents. This combination makes a very innovative binding. Weighing 715 grams/binding (without brakes), the Kingpin 13 will be efficient when going uphill and very performant when going downhill.

This binding has been designed to be as comfortable as possible. This is the case with the ski/walk system and the climbing wedge system, which are extremely easy to install. It is also the only insert binding to be DIN ISO 13992:2007 certified by TUV (the renowned German testing company).

Lightweight, comfortable to ride, powerful and precise on the way down, the Kingpin 13 can be mounted on skis up to 125 mm. This binding is aimed at those who love untouched slopes but for whom the reward really is in the downhill run.

The Six Pack Power Spring also provides additional safety, when the skier is in ski mode, the release force is greater than a traditional binding, less risk of unintentional removal. - Climbing Aid: The titanium or steel climbing aid that is easily adjustable with the ski pole, has three positioning options, 0 °, 7 ° or 13 °. Built-in elastomer damping elements allow for a pleasant hike, simply by reducing the irritating "click" sound.

- XXL Power transmitter : The ultra wide power transmitters in the heel have a reduced weight to ensure minimal friction and perfect heel placement.
