No subject to promotional offersThe Frontier is a men's snowboard from Jones. Usually specialising in high-level freeride snowboards, the have created the Frontier, an All-mountain board destined for intermediate to confirmed riders.
Like any self-respecting all-mountain snowboard, the Frontier is at ease in all conditions and will accompany you throughout the season. It is just as effective in the snowpark as on the piste or off-piste.
With its Directional Rocker profile, it has a camber in the middle and two rockers at the ends. The much more pronounced front rocker gives it a lot of lift and allows it to remain very manageable in powder snow. Its Shape Directional also goes in this direction and brings an excellent fluidity and a great ability to turn whether it is in powder snow or on the piste.
The 3D Contour Base 1.0 technology is also integrated and the board bends slightly upwards at the ends. This will allow for an even smoother ride and easier turning without the risk of an edge fault.
The Traction Tech 2.0 edges bump pattern gives the board enhanced grip to ensure safe turns.
The medium flex of 6/10 is ensured by an all poplar core which provides an efficient and durable pop over time. It is reinforced with a layer of Biax Fiberglass, two layers of fiberglass that stiffen the board and give it an enjoyable and forgiving feel.
The Frontier is therefore a very good board, versatile and safe, for intermediate to advanced riders who want to vary the pleasures during their day. You can easily go from off-piste to the snowpark, then to the piste without ever feeling that your snowboard is out of place.

Camber:
Directional Rocker : Classic camber with rocker for greater float and grip in all snow conditions. Longer and more pronounced rocker on the front of the board to increase lift with a camber under the feet for grip and responsiveness. The shorter tail rocker not only provides the same power and stability than other boards, but prevents catch when turning.
Shape :
Directional : The nose is longer and wider than the tail and the inserts have been set back on the back of the board. These features provide more lift in powder.
3D Contour Base 2.0: convex base. The edges are raised at the ends by 4mm from the centre of the board.
Blunt Nose: The blunt nose provides the lift benefits of a longer nose without the rounded shape and extra weight.
Traction Tech 2.0 : Strategically placed corrugated edges to counteract the negative effect of the rocker and increase the edge grip on the snow.
Progressive Sidecut : At each end of the edges, the curve radius is increased at the contact points. This larger radius ensures a smoother ride when entering and exiting turns.
Technology :
- Forever Flex: A manufacturing process (early lapping system) that stabilises the flex and rocker profile of a board for its entire life span.
- Classic Core : Premium poplar wood core ensures a good pop and a constant and durable flex.
- Biax Fibreglass: fiberglass layer applied in multiple directions for a board that is precise and responsive on any terrain and any snow.
- Sintered 8000 base : Base made from UHMW-PE (Ultra-High Molecular Weight Polyethylene) and carbon. Very easy to repair and offers ultimate gliding properties.
- Flip-Flop base: Manufacturing process reducing waste from the base. Two colours available, delivered randomly.
- Eco-Plastic Topsheet: Topsheet made from castor beans. This environmentally friendly material is ultra-light, chip and scratch resistant and repels water and snow (snow sticks less to the topsheet).
- Recycled ABS: - The ABS plastics in Jones boards are made from recycled plastic.
- Wend Natural Wax: Waxed with natural Wend wax, Jones boards are ready to use straight from the factory.
- Bio Resin: all Jones boards are now built with bio-based, renewable epoxy instead of petroleum based epoxy.
The Frontier is not very easy to ride, it requires a minimum of technique. The medium flex is pleasant for freestyle use and allows you to cope with more committed freeride situations.
Its classic camber and wavy edges means you can enjoy carving beautiful and clean curves on the slopes. The versatile Frontier is a true all-rounder, perfect for enjoying the entire resort regardless of weather conditions.
Advantages: versatility, more accessible than other models.
Disadvantages: theFrontier will make you want to always go lightning fast!
