The men's Custom X Flying V is a freeride board from Burton for advanced riders.
Almost identical to the classic Custom X, the Custom X Flying V differs by its camber. The Flying V camber offers a gain in control and pop while maintaining the power of standard camber. This makes this snowboard a little more accessible than the equivalent model Custom X.
Despite this, the Custom X Flying V remains the pro model of Burton's Custom Flying V range. This model is designed for snowboarders with a very good level as it is a powerful and demanding board.
It has been designed with the best technologies on the market and is a true competition board. The Dragonfly 600G core with multi-zone EGD offers a lightweight board without losing strength and mitigating performance. The Carbon Highlights High Voltage fiberglass construction increases the strength of the board for a longer lifespan.
The directional shape allows for sharp, precise turns. The Custom X Flying V is the stiffest board Burton offers. Its rigid twin flex reacts immediately.
With the power of the Custom X Flying V, you will be able to ride at mach 3 in all snow conditions, no matter how steep the slope. It is strongly recommended to have a very good level to be able to master this board.

Camber - Flying V®: The Flying V profile features rocker areas between and around the feet for more fun, and float and camber areas under your feet which increase edge control for clean pressure, more pop and powerful turns.
Shape - Directional : Its directional shape is designed with a nose that is slightly longer than tail in order to concentrate pop in the tail, while providing a lot of float, fluidity and control on all terrains and in all conditions.
Flex - Twin (9/10) : Twin Flex is perfectly symmetrical from nose to tail for balance and versatility, whether you're riding regular or switch.
Core - FSC® Certified Dragonfly® 600G Core with Multizone EGD® and Squeezebox : Dragonfly 600G core with multi-zone EGD features end-grain woods in the impact zones for lighter weight without loss of strength. The Squeezebox construction involves thickening or thinning sections of the board's profile around and between the bindings to improve energy transfer. Lighter but equally resistant wood species make it possible to lighten the board while maintaining its strength. The Multizone EGD® construction consists of arranging the wood fibers of the core perpendicular to the rest of the core in the bindings zones for better edge control and power transmission.
Fiberglass - 45° Carbon Highlights High Voltage: The Carbon Highlights High Voltage 45° fiberglass construction optimises each layer of the fiberglass matrix, adding an integral carbon coating to reduce weight and refine twist feel, and incorporating carbon strips to increase the lifespan of your snowboard.
Base - Recycled Sintered WFO : The WFO sintered base features a specially formulated wax deep into the pores of its extra-absorbent high-density material, making it extremely durable for all season riding in all conditions.
Technology:
- The Channel® : The Channel® snowboard mounting system is designed to allow you to find the perfect position, and is compatible with all common bindings.
- Frostbite Edges : edges that extend out slightly around the mountings for better edge grip.
- Pro-Tip™ : the nose and tail are thinner than the rest of the board, for more lightness and improved handling.
- Infinite Ride™: this technology ensures that the snowboard retains its initial flex, pop and behaviour throughout its lifespan.
- Super Sap® Epoxy : strong topsheet
