Many years of development have resulted in a binding that provides a combination of high performance and legendary comfort.
This Burton Cartel X Est® version from Burton has exactly the same characteristics as the Cartel X. However, its new design makes it stiffer, lighter and features slightly softer cushioning for even more lively edge changes and more engaged jumps. This Est® binding version also provides more feel due to increased direct contact with the board.
With an all-mountain design, the Cartel X Est® is a real all-terrain performer and supplies adapted responsivity for any situation. The Cartel X Est® version offers a medium flex. B3 Gel cushioning and the SensoryBED cushioning system are designed to remain flexible and provide optimal protection during high landings.
The DialFLAD adjustment system enables you to choose between a very wide lean angle of the spoiler, for increased stability needed when freestyle riding, or a narrower angle for powder rides. The ankle straps have been upgraded and now feature the mesh-like Hammockstrap™ 2.0, which perfectly hugs the shape of your boots and reduces unpleasant compression points. The reinforced strap and Smooth Glide™ buckles ensure a comfortable, precise fit.

Cushioning :
- The SensoryBED cushioning system is compatible with the EST® mounting system, offering exceptional control and a comfortable connection to the snowboard.
- The B3 Gel cushioning is designed not to harden at low temperatures and can withstand repeated impacts without breaking down.
Baseplate:
- The two-component baseplate construction features two types of material, one under the foot and one along the edges, providing a soft and stiffer ride, for better balance.
- The Living Hinge System flexes dynamically with your leg for improved foot roll, less fatigue and easier ollies.
- Nylon composite material blended with 45% fibreglass in the baseplate, for a lighter weight.
- Nylon composite material blended with 30% fibreglass in the spar, for a more intense response
Spoiler:
- The Heel Hammock features a reinforced rubber material which wraps around the heel, providing full suspension for extremely fast response.
- The DialFLAD system is a rotational dial system that enables you to adjust the forwards incline angle of the spoiler.
-The Living Hinge spoiler technology eliminates material and weight, allowing for independent adjustment of your front tilt and spoiler rotation.
Straps :
- The Hammockstrap™ 2,0 ankle strap features a durable and discreet design, allowing you to lock your position and give you instant control of your snowboard.
- The Supergrip 2,0 toe-strap is fully injected to reduce waste. It also features a rubber overmold to hold the strap in place and increase grip while wrapping the toe area.
Buckles:
- The Smooth Glide buckles are easy to close and feature aluminium levers and a steel base for increased strength, with a polycarbonate barrel, which increases the lifespan of the ratchet tongue.
Mounting System :
- The EST® mounting system has no hardwear underfoot. It features a flexible sole for a better feel on the snowboard, and offers the widest range of stance options.
Can only be mounted onto snowboards with The Channel™ mounting system.
All Burton binding baseplates are backed by a LIFETIME WARRANTY. Spoilers and straps have a one-year warranty from the date of purchase.
