Touring skis - Men - Bakan 112 2023 – Zag
The Slap 112 are men's freestyle skis from Zag. This is the largest freeride/touring ski for men in the range, clearly designed for big conditions! If you don't like crowds and lifts and you like to enjoy the descent after an uphill effort, then this is your weapon of choice!
In line with the Ubac, the Bakan has been developed with an ultra-light construction to retain maximum strength when the long-awaited moment of the descent comes! To achieve a weight of just 3Kg per pair, the brand from Chamonix has used a semi LIGHT construction. To simplify, there is a paulownia wood core, renowned for its lightness and performance, as well as fibre glass, multi-axial carbon fibre to energise and stiffen the skis. Combine that with ABS straight sidewalls for faultless grip on all terrains, a sintered sole for speed at all times, HR edges which are more impact resistant and phenol reinforcements which make them the ideal skis for both uphill and downhill skiing!
In terms of shape, the Bakan 112 is designed with a medium camber, offering good skiability even in the most difficult snow conditions. There is also a progressive double rocker that improves flotation when Mother Nature has been generous, as well as the handling of the ski in turns. A real machine for skiers who want to have fun on descents! With its generous sidecut and medium curve radius, it's both playful and stable when shifting gears, and unsinkable even when hiking in Japan in February.
The Bakan is an ultra-light, high-end performance ski for demanding freeriders who are not afraid to put on their skins away from the crowds and want to be able to attack hard on the way down.
