Description

The Backland 98 W are women's touring skis from Atomic.

With their worked shape and high quality materials, the Backland 98 Ws were made for demanding skiers, who do not neglect either the sensations or the style.

With a 98mm waist, they are the most versatile women's skis from the Backland range. They are able to adapt to the most different terrains and snow conditions, and will accompany you on both powder and crusty snow thanks to the perfect mix of freeride and touring features.

The Backland 98 W incorporates the revolutionary HRZN built into the tip, which increases the skis surface area at the front for a better lift and confident, fast progression in deep snow. Their Powder rocker, designed especially for powder snow, incorporates a stronger rocker on the tip and a lighter one on the heel, for more and more pleasure in the powder snow!

The is designed with an Ultra Power Woodcore, made from karuba for strength and poplar for lightness, which provides optimum stability and agility for fast downhill runs.

There is also an ultra-light Carbon Backbone structure that crosses the entire ski and acts as a backbone. This stabilises it, for exceptional agility and very good edge grip, all without any additional weight to allow for easier uphill movement.

The Full Sidewall structure allows the skis to remain smooth and stable on all terrains, even the hardest ones. This construction provides better control and edge grip. The rounded shape of the Dual Cap Sidewall prevents dents and splinters forming for optimum durability.

The Backland 98 W manages to combine the powder performance of a freeride ski with the lightness of a touring ski. Tailored for the great outdoors and abundant powder, these the perfect ski for skiers who want to go on an adventure!

Team review
