The women's Summit Breithorn Hoodie TNF Black from The North Face is a must-have from the Summit™ Series range, specially designed for mountaineering.
Made from recycled, tear-proof and super-lightweight materials, this down jacket will be your best ally against bad weather during your mountaineering sessions. Suitable for harnesses thanks to its high hand pockets and with its helmet compatible hood, you will stay warm and dry even when you sweat.
Exceptionally warm thanks to its feather density, the ProDown™ 800 down offers more expandability for more warmth and high performance. The lightness of this down also offers good compressibility so that you can pack your down jacket in your bag as soon as the weather turns warm.

Trapping air and body heat in its high-filling down balls, this lightweight, compressible fabric offers exceptional warmth in cold weather. Contrary to popular belief, down is not the same as feathers. This type of insulation uses goose or duck down, the first soft feathers found under a bird's feathers. The fill power index of down gives two important indications: the warmth/weight ratio and the degree of compressibility. These two properties are crucial for heat retention and comfort. Down is more effective in dry weather and loses its performance in wet conditions. Machine drying revives the natural down. |
