Description

The Shroud Hooded Jacket Cardinal Admiral for men from Mountain Equipment is a very warm technical fleece designed for mountaineering, ski touring and climbing.

A cross between soft shell and technical fleece, the jacket with Cycloknit technology offers insulation, wind resistance, water and abrasion resistance as well as optimum comfort for demanding cold-weather use. This is combined with the Pontetorto® Tecnostretch material, which has other benefits such as softness and lightness as well as fantastic drying speed and breathability .

On the practical side, the jacket has a central zip YKK® at the front as well as two zipped handwarmer pockets and a Napoleon chest pocket.

The Shroud Hooded Jacket is an excellent outer layer in good weather but also perfect as a mid-layer for mountaineering and ski touring in cold weather.

This jersey fabric has a smooth exterior, a technical look that is highly resistant to abrasion, a velvet interior that has the particularity of retaining heat and an elastomer fibre between the two layers to make the fabric as comfortable as possible. The Technostretch® materials have grid structures that offer other advantages such as lightness and fantastic breathability.

Cycloknit

Cycloknit blurs the boundaries between soft shell and technical fleece, combining insulation, wind resistance and comfort for demanding cold-weather use. This patented fleece combines a dense, 'hard face' knit outer shell for wind, water and abrasion resistance with a soft, high loft fleece inner shell for incredible comfort and warmth. It pushes the boundaries of what a mid-layer is capable of and offers a valuable compromise, keeping out wind, snow and light rain.
