60 days to change your mindThe Icefall 50 White from the brand Exped is an alpine backpack designed for the most demanding expeditions.
This pack is made from 200D UHMPE ripstop (ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene). This advanced material combines exceptional lightness with extreme resistance to abrasion and tears, a major asset in a challenging environment. To ensure complete waterproofing against the elements, the fabric is lined with a TPU film laminate offering 20,000 mm waterproofing, while the roll-top closure with aluminium alloy (carabiner) clips provides an impenetrable barrier against snow and moisture. The materials are certified bluesign®, demonstrating that uncompromising durability can go hand in hand with sustainable and responsible design.
Designed for efficiency on the wall, the Icefall 50 excels in accessibility: a vertical side zip allows direct access to the main compartment without undoing the roll-top, while the large front pocket is dedicated to safety equipment. This pack is highly modular: the compression straps, ski loops and ice axe attachments are removable, allowing you to streamline the pack according to your needs. In terms of carrying comfort, the removable PE foam back panel with EVA padding ensures optimal stability for loads up to 14 kg. Every detail, from the waist belt buckle operable with gloves to the hydration system port, has been optimised for maximum fluidity of movement in technical terrain.
