Ohm II Blue

The Ohm II Blue is a locking system from the brand Edelrid, attached upstream to the first piton on the Safety chain.

This is a system developed by Edelrid that prevents the Belayer from being thrown into the air when the weight difference with the Climber is too great. Here is the second version of the Ohm, with some improvements to make it easier to use.

It therefore compensates for the difference in weight between the lighter Belayer and the heavier Climber. The Ohm II attaches to the first quickdraw, allowing you to gradually slow down in the event of a fall, independently of the belay device. The risk of collision is therefore reduced.
