The G14 are crampons from Grivel.
With the G14, Grivel offers a versatile pair of crampons for technical mountaineering on glacier slopes or ice climbing.
The G14 have a total of 12 points. At the front, there are two very strong forged steel spikes for optimal grip and easy planting of the spikes, without bouncing. These two points can be replaced by a single point system specific to ice climbing, sold separately. Finally, the four rear spikes are ideal for preventing slippage on the descent.
The G14 Crampons are available as "New-matic" bindings (semi-automatic, mechanical heel clamping system requiring shoes with a rear overhang), or Cramp-o-matic (automatic, mechanical clamping system on both sides requiring shoes with a front and rear overhang).
All G14 models are equipped with Grivel anti-balling plates to prevent snow from accumulating under the crampons.
