The Downburst 34 is a women's hiking backpack from Osprey.

Designed for a wide range of adventures, the Downburst is a practical, comfortable bag that can withstand heavy rain thanks to its reinforced nylon construction. It conforms to the IPX5 standards and has waterproof YKK zips. Its roll-up closure promises extra protection against water and dust, and provides wide access to the bag's contents.

Its suspended back panel and AirSpeed harness provide ventilation throughout your outing. It also features a fully adjustable waistband, shoulder straps and back. The 24 and 34-litre models are specially designed for women, with specially adapted backs.

In terms of practicality, the bag is ultra-functional, with a system for carrying an ice axe, an ingenious Stow-on-the-Go system for securing your poles which allows you to unhook them and put them back in place without having to stop or remove the bag from your back, and a chest strap with an emergency whistle to indicate your location or give a warning if necessary. The pocket on the front also acts as a compression device for the entire bag in the event of a heavy load.

Finally, inside the bag you'll find a secure pocket to make sure you don't misplace your papers, phone or even your keys, thanks to the integrated key ring. The side pockets are ideal for storing your water bottles, but there's also a sleeve for connecting a water bag placed inside directly to you. Your snacks or small items will be ideally stored in the zipped pockets on the waistband for quick access.
