Balise K-IP

The KIPbeacon is a connected beacon for outdoor sports from a young Savoyard company APIK.

The beacon KIP is this winter's must-have. It allows you to be followed live by your loved ones and send them a distress alert at the touch of a button. The other disruptive aspect of the KIP is its ability to be found even when you are in a white zone, i.e. without any network. Emergency services are equipped with a search tool that can find you quickly and reliably several kilometres away from your distress.

This beacon can communicate on 2 different types of network(radio and GSM), and with other KIPs up to 600 m away. Sober and robust, it can withstand not only jets of water(IP65 standard) but also temperatures ranging from -20°C to +60°C. To take your exploration to the next level, a waterproof cover is available as an option. It can be submerged to a depth of 2 m for up to 1 hour.

2 modes are available for 2 output styles. The first is the Incognitomode, so when you're on the go, simply take your phone with you KIP and in the event of a problem your nearest and dearest will be alerted via the radio networks. The second is the Veillémode, where you can prepare your route and the time you are going to take in advance on the application so that your friends and family can follow you live. If you have also brought your telephone with you, your position will also be relayed on the GSMnetwork.
