This ski touring toponeige covers the area between the Galibier and Mont-Cenis passes. This includes two massifs on either side of the Fréjus pass: to the west the Cerces-Thabor group and to the east the Ambin-Scolettegroup. This toponeige includes all the slopes: to the north the Maurienne, to the south the Briançonnais and the Susavalley.
