The Taiss Light GTX is a true pioneer, designed to make walking faster and more enjoyable without weighing you down with shoes that look more like cinder blocks.

Weighing in at just over 500 grams per foot, the Taiss Light GTX is one of the lightest crampon boots on the market, which admittedly can be a little mystifying at first. However, by making this boot lighter, Mammut makes no concessions: the sole is rigid enough to hold semi-automatic crampons, and features a Schoeller® soft shell upper offering a perfect balance between lateral support and longitudinal flexibility.
This lightweight but reinforced construction also provides breathability that is usually very limited in traditional mountaineering boots. There's no need to take your trainers with you as well as your mountaineering boots for the approaches, this boot is made for going from the valley and reaching the summit without limitations.

Precision and grip are also the strong points of this model. The phenomenal grip obtained with the integration of a Vibram Ascension Litebase sole, allows you to take on the most technical via ferratas and mixed mountaineering routes in your stride. For added durability, the sole is easily resoleable. In terms of fit, the 2-zone tightening system gives you a made-to-measure fit, while the low lacing gives you maximum precision so you can move more confidently when the terrain becomes more difficult.

With its Gore-Tex Performance Comfort membrane, the Taiss Light GTX will also keep your feet dry, whatever the terrain and conditions.
