With a weight of just over 500 grams per foot, the Taiss Light Mid GTX is one of the lightest boots that can be fitted with crampons on the market, which, let's face it, can leave you a little perplexed at first. However, Mammut has made no concessions when lightening this boot since the sole is rigid enough to hang semi-automatic crampons, and benefits from a soft shell Schoeller® top offering the perfect balance between lateral support and longitudinal flexibility.
This lightweight but reinforced construction also provides breathability, which is usually very low in traditional mountaineering boots. No more need to pack your running shoes in addition to your mountaineering boots for approaching the mountains, this boot is designed for hikes through the valley and climbs to the summit - it won't hold you back.

Precision and grip are also the key features of this model. The phenomenal grip of a Vibram Ascension Litebase sole means you can calmly manoeuvre via-ferratas and mixed highy technical mountaineering routes. For more durability, this sole is easily resealable. As for the fit, tightening in 2 zones allows a custom fit, while the low lacing gives you maximum precision to move more calmly as soon as the terrain becomes more difficult.
