Filtre Vario
The Vario filter from Katadyn is a filter that works with a double piston to obtain a flow rate of about 2 litres per minute.
During your travels, you will probably come across murky water, for which you will need filtration. Whether it is clear, cloudy or even smells like chemicals, the Vario filter will be there to purify this water.
Thanks to a pump system, using ceramics as a filter, the Vario will stop impurities, and, thanks to its glass fibre, will also act as a microbiological filter. In order to make your use profitable, the ceramic washer has a "LONGER LIFE" mode, for cloudier waters. There is also a "FASTER FLOW" mode where the water flows directly through the fiberglass filter and the pump power increases to 2 l/min.
To explain a little bit more about the actual process, the replaceable activated carbon granules in the filter tube reduce the chemical content and improve the taste. A double pump mechanism guarantees a continuous flow with a minimum of effort.
