Autour de Chamonix

On reaching Les Houches, the gateway to the Chamonix valley, you will be impressed by the immaculate, snowy peaks and slender needles. The immense and majestic Mont-Blanc overlooks the valley with all its splendour.

Because of the steep slopes and high peaks, one might think that the valley is not very suitable for family walks and that there are no easy routes. Quite the contrary! The mountaineering capital and its surroundings welcome many walkers who never get enough of the magnificent views and original sites and whom the many marked and maintained paths invite to discover.
