A complete athlete, he is the only skier to have won World Cup titles in six different disciplines. He entered the world's skiing elite at a very young age and has also won the World Championships in the combined event and stood on the Olympic podium three times.
Originally from Courchevel in Savoie, Alexis Pinturault was born with bindings on his feet and two sticks in his hands. A gifted sportsman on various playing fields (he could have been a footballer), he was spotted for his natural ease on the slopes. Alexis chose to enter the Pôle France at the Albertville high school and his life was changed forever.
