About Petzl
The Petzl adventure began in 1975, when Ferninand Petzl, a caving enthusiast, decided to sell lamps to climb, descend, secure, and move in the dark without the inconvenience of holding a torch in your hand. He innovated in his small workshop near Grenoble, Isère, by creating a lamp concept that attaches to the head, leaving your hands free for sport: the head torch was born. Since then, Petzl has continued to innovate every day, offering different models of head torches, always inspired by the needs of outdoor athletes.
