Nemo
After completing his studies in industrial design, mountaineering fan Cam Brensinger joined MIT where he worked on designs for spacesuits for trips to Mars, as part of a NASA-funded project. In 2002, he founded NEMO and began to work on A.S.T. (AirSupported technology TM), a technology where structural elements comprise low-pressure inflatable ribs rather than traditional steel poles. Resistant to violent winds, compact when folded and quick to set up, this technology quickly won over distributors, other mountaineers and even the US army's special forces units.
After having wowed the world with innovative tent designs and high-performance ergonomic products, NEMO's design team moved onto mattresses and sleeping bags. This led to NEMO bringing out a range of self-inflating/inflatable mattresses that are both lightweight and compact when stored.
Outdoor equipment specialist NEMO has received numerous awards for design and innovation. Each product, be it a tent, mattress, sleeping bag or an accessory, is designed for adventurous types who love life in the great outdoors and want to benefit from NEMO's cutting edge technology and designs.
NEMO understands how we need to interact with different outdoor environments, and uses materials suited to all circumstances and weather conditions. To summarise Cam Bresinger, NEMO believes that we can create unforgettable memories whatever the outdoor situation, from camping in the garden to conquering Everest; determination and imagination on our part, completed by the brand's high-tech materials.
