The nanospinning process used on the membrane consists of micro-perforations that provide air permeability without sacrificing impermeability: air flows through the fabric and provides the most efficient ventilation.
All products feature a 3-layer construction, being the most waterproof design and offering greater durability. The water-repellent coating maintains 80% of the fabric's original performance after more than 80 washings, and offers higher performance than any other DWR treatment. This durable water repellent coating is PFC / fluorene free.
SOFT (TO THE TOUCH)
Futurelight fabric is composed of multiple layers of woven fabric, resulting in a thinner and more versatile fabric. Neither rigid nor noisy, this membrane still performs and protects you at its best.
The North Face's breathable and waterproof membrane has been put to the test by their team of athletes under the most extreme conditions around the globe. Its durability has been tested from the top of Everest to the first ski slope of the Lhotse. Futurelight has even been tried for 100 days in a row!
AIMING FOR SUSTAINABILITY
Combining innovations, using recycled materials as well as a PFC-free durable water repellent finish, this fabric is resolutely eco-friendly and responsibly designed. The new Futurelight technology limits the use of chemicals and water consumption during the DWR treatment of the fabric.

|Thomas, who was able to experience this innovation throughout his journey in the Arctic, states:
"The product is absolutely crazy and ultra-light, with a very special feel, not rigid at all. It's extremely soft and comfortable to wear. In terms of weight, it's like wearing a shirt or t-shirt while having the equivalent of a three-layer fabric that perfectly protects you from the cold and wind. It's really fascinating.”
