       What will you use the jacket for ?

* If you are looking for a jacket you will be using for sports(trail running, ski touring), then choose a jacket with GORE-TEX® Active, in order to have a jacket with a good level of water protection as well as a high level of breathability. Example: Millet Trilogy Active Shell jacket

* If you want to invest in a versatile protective jacket for all mountain acticités (hiking, trekking , walking etc.) :

Then you might want to opt for a two-layer jacket (2L ), which will be lighter and more easily compressible jacket for you backpack..

* If you are looking for a ski jacket or a jacket mountaineering Millet:

Most mountaineering and ski jackets are equipped with GORE -TEX® technology, which will allow you to have a product with optimal impermeability and breathability .

For skiing , we recommend is to combine a protective jacket that will keep you dry ( waterproof and breathable ) with a second layer to isolate jacket you like the cold ( down or feather ) or polar. Or choose a fleece lined jacket , or a jacket PrimaLoft®

Ski jackets hoften feature many diffrent extras too : Snow skirts, Mp3 pocket , ski pass pocket, hoods...

For skiing, hiking or mountaineering it is best to choose a protective jacket with 3 layers to be thicker, warmer and more resistant. If you plan to wearing a backpack then you may want to look for a jacket that has reinforced shoulders
