| LEATHER CHROMEFREE | ChromeFree leather is soft and light. Coming from farms in southern Brazil (Rio Grande do Sul), it undergoes an innovative tanning process in which no chrome, heavy metals or dangerous acids are used. Simplification of the tanning steps reduces the use of chemicals, energy, water by about 40% and salt by 80%. After tanning, the water is recyclable. |
| ORGANIC COTTON | The canvas is made from 100% certified organic cotton, without the use of pesticides or chemical fertilisers. An agriculture that enriches the earth after it has been cultivated by enhancing species that Veja grows. |
| SUEDE | Suede is the reverse side of a leather that is sanded to give it a soft and supple appearance. It comes from farms in Rio Grande do Sul. It is tanned in Brazil according to REACH standards. The use of water is reasoned during the tanning process. This suede is then coated with two water-repellent oils to protect the trainers from light rain. It is certified by the L.W.G. (Leather Working Group) which promotes sustainable practices that have a positive impact on the environment in tanneries. |

AMAZONIAN RUBBER |
Each sole is made of 18-22% wild rubber from the Amazon rainforest. Syringeiros (rubber workers) are paid according to the principles of fair trade. The use of this Amazon rubber increases the economic value of the forest and protects it from deforestation. |
