TheXV de Rossignol, is the ultimate freeride board for men as seen by Xavier De Le Rue for expert level snowboarders.
The XV is getting a new, neat and refined look this winter. The XV has won numerous awards in recent seasons, becoming a major board on the freeride scene due to its advanced performances.
This De Le Rue pro model is a committed board, built for demanding and powerfulriders. It will be very comfortable in powder thanks to its pronounced tip, but will also offer a lot of rigidity and serenity on more difficult snow. On hard snow, the urethaneinserts act as shock absorbers to stabilize the ride.
The secure grip of the Serrated Edges 7M allows you to glide down all surfaces with your eyes closed! Its rockers and blunt nose give it a great capacity to quickly get out of deep powder. The carbon reinforcements under the feet make the board very responsive and stable even at very high speeds.
Another interesting technology offered by the XV, is the Roller sole. The edge is slightly raised at the nose and tail to limit the catching of the edge in the snow. This technology also improves powder bearing capacity. Neat!
The XV snowboard is a market reference in the Freeride and Big Mountain segments. It's not for nothing that it has received so many awards!
AMPTEK Elite (Camber+Rocker): The Elite camber offers 60% camber (starting at the outside of the sills) and 40% tip rocker (20% nose and 20% tail). Ideal camber for freeride and piste, it offers maximum grip and is easy to get out of deep powder. ALL-MOUNTAIN AMPTEK
Directional the wide nose makes the front of the board protrude and the tapered waist improves turning. Tailored for turning, a directional board but with the emphasis on carving fun
9/10 - Reverse Super Directional Highly directional flex, Extremely stiff under the front foot for trajectory control and power - Rigid waist for greater stability at high speeds - Moderately soft under the rear foot for snow feel and maneuverability
THC2 CBF2 : Specifically designed for Xavier De Le Rue's split, this THC2 combines Double Torsion Box, CBF2 structure and two Microcell beams for a minimum of breaks while improving balance, control and grip of the board. Compared to the THC CBF2, Microcell's central axis has been replaced, like a pair of skis, by an ABS rail, the edge material of our snowboards, to give this split a maximum edge hold and optimize its lifespan
Basalt reinforcements: Stronger and lighter than fiberglass, more elastic than carbon, basalt brings power and stability while absorbing vibrations.
MICROCELL 3: polyurethane rails incorporated into the core to reduce weight and increase power.
Aramid (A.K.A. Kevlar®) : Generally used in the manufacture of bullet-proof vests, aramid dampens vibrations and absorbs the shocks of large receptions
Glass Fiber : Available in a variety of shapes and weights, fiberglass allows customized flex and torsional strength management while stabilizing the mechanical properties of the core
7500 Sintered : abrasion resistant sole for a very quick grip.
Serrated 7M edges: Undulations distributed along the load-bearing length that maximize edge pressure and significantly improve control and stability in the most difficult conditions. Available in 4 versions exclusive to Rossignol Snowboards. The original 7M version has 7 deep undulations along the edges. The Magne-Traction maximizes pressure on the edges between the feet, bringing to life this previously inaccessible "dead zone".
Roller Tip : A first in the snow industry, the Roller raises the edge over all or part of the bearing length by an exclusive core making process. Centered on the nose and tail, invisible on the top of the board, the Tip Roller lightens the tip, reduces momentum, makes it easier to go from edge to edge, refocuses the pressure under the feet, offers more stability and significantly improves flotation in powder snow.
ABS: The best impact protection and totally waterproof, ABS is integrated on all our edges and in some cores
The XVhas a traditional camber with two rockers that add to the undulating edges to provide excellent edge grip. Its "wide" and stiffened nose improves glide through powder snow.
The XVis veryrigid and requirescommitment as well as physical strength. The XV gives great confidence because of the stability of the core and the precision of the turns it allows. The XV is a board that is greatly attracted by the "extreme" side of snowboarding!
Advantages: accessibility, grip and complete.
Disadvantages : demanding.
