    Detailed description

The Torrent from Hoka One One are trail running shoes for men.

They were designed in collaboration with Hoka's ambassador trail runners. They are therefore shoes that have all the characteristics for competition, targeted towards performance above all.

Very lightweight, the Torrent incorporates a dual-density PROFLY™ midsole: more flexible at the heel to ensure quality cushioning and protection, and firmer at the meta level to boost propulsion with each stride and thus gain speed.

The Torrent also has lugs which are perfectly distributed, and a very adherent rubber for better stability high up in the mountains. This shoe grips on to anything!

Last but not least, its mesh upper with several openings makes it easier for the foot to breathe. The Torrent will accompany you on short to medium distances wherever you wish.

    Quicken your pace!

    Technical Details

    Technical details:

    • Technical mesh construction with openings for optimal breathability, fast drying, comfort and support
    • Protective coatings on the meta and tip to protect against debris on the trails and for added durability
    • Oversized EVA midsole for lightweight cushioning
    • PROFLYTM midsole for an unrivaled balance between PROpulsion and PROtection
    • Strategically placed rubber on high abrasion areas for durability
    • 4 mm multidirectional lugs for ultimate grip on various terrains
    • Drop: 5 mm
    • Heel: 23 mm
    • Meta: 18 mm

Midsole volume: Up to 2.5 times greater than standard running shoes, with specific cushioning materials for better performance. Advantage: Excellent shock absorption and naturally stable stride.

Meta-Rocker: The geometry of the Meta-Rocker midsole, specifically designed with a low heel-toe differential and a sculpted outsole radius at the heel and toes, creates a unique support point effect and promotes a guided gait cycle. Advantage: Maintains runner's shape and promotes rapid, progressive movement from heel to toe.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from light weight and comfortable I bought these to wear in an XTERRA race and they didn't disappoint. Light and comfy they were excellent for both the bike and the run. The bike portion had too many hike a bike sections for me to wear bike shoes so I opted to wear these. I only had a few miles training in them but they fit great right away with no hot spots. Normally I wear Bondi's for triathlons and I was a bit concerned that these would not have enough cushion for the run but they felt great on the loose trails and were not to harsh for the few hard packed sections. I only have about 40 miles in them now but they seem to be holding up well so far.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great shoe, falling apart! I got these shoes and loved them. These were the first Hokas I have owned and after the first couple runs fell in love with them. Then I examined them after the second run and the rubber at the bottom of the upper is completly peeling off the left shoe almost like it was never glued on. Contacted multiple people who kept refuring me to other prople then was told to return them for warranty which could take up to a month just to see if it qualified. I need these for a trail run in 2 weeks so I don't have that luxury to return them for replacement. Love the shoe but think maybe one made it past quality control.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Shoes!!! I am super pleased with these shoes - they have plenty of room in the toe box and excellent padding. I have used on both the street and trails with these and they worked great on both. They are a tiny bit big (I wear size 12 in all my other running shoes (Brooks, Mizuno) and I have a size 12 in these) - I went to a little thicker sock from Balega versus my usual thinner running socks and they are quite comfortable (thus, don't buy a size up). I liked the drop in these versus a couple of other Hokas that I tried on - I would recommend that you try a pair on if the drop changes from what you usually wear.
