The Nitro Squash is an all-mountain board for men of advanced level who are looking for an ultra versatile board with a big tendency towards freeride without leaving the park kickers behind. But how is this possible? All this is explained in the following description of the latest Nitro Squash.
Developed by the co-founder of Nitro, Tommy Delago in collaboration with the brand's pro-riders, Austin Smith and Bryan Fox, the Squash is a true all-mountain snowboard . Now available in many sizes, Squash is for all! The Squash has a classic True Camber that is precise and grips well. The setback makes it easy to turn aswell as the swallowtail made for powder snow.
But don't be fooled by its resolutely freeride shape, because the squash also offers assets that will delight seasoned freestylers who want a reactive and precise board in the park. In addition, its 7/10 flex and its Powercore II reinforced by beech stringers gives pop and response to the Squash. Austin Smith even rides it in switch with his little kick without sticking the tail in!
The most aggressive board that is jalso just as versatile as a Team, the Squash is ideal for riders who want to go fast and who give their all whether on a kick, a carve or in a simple freeride line
- Camber:
Trüe Camber (cambre classique sans rocker) : classic camber under the feet for grip, dynamism and support under the edge. A good camber guarantees stability and maximum pop. One camber, and that's all there is to it!
- Shape:
Tapered Swallowtail : Wider than the tail to improve handling and steering of the board. The swallowtail allows the back of the board to plunge into the depths of the powder for an effortless ride in the powder
Progressive Sidecut : Wider turn radius on the front of the board. Encourages increased acceleration at the end of a turn, while the nose reduces any bumps in the snow.
Width: Mid-Wide
- Flex:
7/10 All-terrain - Rigid Flex. Versatile flex for guaranteed responsiveness and all-mountain pop.
- Core:
PowerCore II : poplar wood core reinforced with two beech stringers (wooden strip) from the nose to the tail of the board to increase stiffness and pop.
- Topsheet:
Bi-Lite Laminates : fibreglass applied perpendicularly in two directions to provide tolerance, precise snow feel and strength.
- Sole:
Sintered Speed Formula HD base : abrasion resistant sole with high wax absorption capacity for very fast speed setting
Great versatility with the Squash? Indeed it is! However, this board is not for everyone. The Squash with its classic camber without rocker requires a certain amount of technical mastery to be used in freestyle because it doesn't give a lot of room for error, especially on well packed snow.
Quite rigid, the Squash allows you to send it down the slopes aswell as in the powder. The Swallowtail plays its role well in fresh snow by making the board ultra directive while the grip is never lacking on the piste. The Squash proves to be an excellent board to do everything for riders of good level.
The Advantages : versatility, precision and vibration softening.
Disadvantages : nothing
