The Split Pig is the first splitboard from Ride for advanced level male boarders.
You were waiting for it and here it is... the Split Pig is the newest addition to Ride's range. It was inspired by the famous Superpig board, which gives a surprising result for demanding riders.
Escape with your Split Pig, and without further ado start your ascent to the summits. On the way up, its wooden core is appreciated for its solidity and lightness. Moreover, the whole construction of the Splitboard has been made to make it featherweight. Carbon is used to stiffen the whole Split Pig to help you progress on all types of snow but also increases its solidity while keeping a well dosed pop for the descent.
When you've reached your goal, it's time to get down to business: take off your skins and assemble your Split Pig With its All-Mountain performance, you can attack in powder but also when the snow has been worked. In fresh snow, the Split Pig has incredible lift with good manoeuvrability thanks to its rocker at the tip, which allows you to ride with confidence. Now you are ready to hit the best slopes with a board perfect for freeride routes.
But the Split Pig doesn't stop there, with its flex of 8/10 and its playful pop it is also at ease in the air. So if a natural kick or a rocky bar appears in front of you, let yourself go and let the board show you its versatility. To finish it off is a very resistant and solid construction to avoid any risk of breakage so that it can go with you everywhere.
The Split Pig is supplied with skins and wedges.
Camber Directional Hybrid : hybrid profile, offering more camber than rocker.
Shape:
- Directional Tapered: classic shape with the nose slightly longer than the tail for float on unpacked snow. Tapered refers to a shape in which the tip is wider than the tail, making it easier to enter and exit turns, allowing for greater stability at high speeds, and improved float.
- Bi-radial Sidecut : combining a tight radius in the tip with a larger radius in the tail, the board turns easily and holds longer curves with ease.
Flex - 8/10 rigid
Core:
- Performance Core™ : solid Aspen wood core combined with bamboo and paulownia for its lightweight properties. A perfect blend of strength and lightness.
- Carbon Array 5™ : carbon inserts improve control of the board by stiffening it, regardless of the stance and angles that you use.
- Impact Plates : reinforcement double plate under each of the binding areas. Improves resistance when compressed and reduces the risk of breaking.
Fiberglass:
- Carbon Infused Glass: Carbon fibres, built at 90 degrees. Extra stiffness for an ideal pop.
- Topless Topsheet: screen printing is directly integrated into the topsheet. Weight reduction guaranteed!
Sole: it is sintered in durable, high quality Ptex 4000, which is denser and faster than an extruded sole.
Technologies :
- Roll-In Construction : 3D construction around the Slimewall edges reinforcing the rigidity, preventing the topsheet from disintegrating and reducing the weight.
- Carbon Slimewalls® : Carbon Slimewalls strategically placed from the rear inserts to the tail contact points for directional boards. The Slimewalls are elasticated to avoid them breaking on impact. It softens the ride and absorbs the vibrations of the board
- Cleave Edge™ : Reinforced edges using 50% more steel for increased push and pull resistance. Austrian Ride steel surrounds the entire perimeter of your board and is the best possible protection.
