Description

The Speedguide 80 is a touring ski for men from Scott.

The Speedguide range is aimed at those who don't want to have to choose between effectiveness on ascent and enjoyment on descent. At Scott, we don't compromise, and this is particularly evident on the Speedguides, the reference ski for the high mountain guide Helias Millerioux, renowned for his committed expeditions.

The Speedguides are a real blend of different technologies with their elliptical sandwich construction sloping sides combining the lightness of a Paulownia wooden core and tough fibreglass that has kevlar and carbon fibres to give these skis incomparable abilities in terms of strength, torsional stiffness and shock absorption.

At 1150g per 170cm ski, the Speedguide 80 is Scott's lightest ski, and it is quite simply an uphill racing beast. Its 320 Pro-Tip Rocker helps it float easily on powder and the 3 Dimensional Sidecut technology means you can progress through your turns however you like and whatever the terrain!

The Speedguides have an easy-skin quick attachment system developed by the brand. The transparent topsheet of the Speedguides lets you see the carbon reinforcements of your ski.

For experienced hikers who wish to achieve their best performance on the ascent with a reliable and stable ski on the descent

Construction :
Carbon SSCL E : elliptical sandwich construction with inclined carbon/aramid fields, which brings lightness and performance. This high-performance design is ideal for demanding ski touring outings.

Core :
Wood: full-length wood core, which gives the ski a more homogenous flex and creates a smoother transition between the central part of the ski and the rocker geometry of the tip and heel.

3 Dimensions Sidecut  :
The 3D dimension sidecut consists of two radii and a straight edge line under the foot. The radiuses of the tip and the tail allow you to move into a turn, while the flat centre brings stability, power and precision. Designed in collaboration with athletes from the Freeski team, the 3D sidecuts give the ski great versatility, balance and power underfoot, responding to the demands of the best skiers in the world.

Rocker :
Pro-Tip 320 Rocker: All terrain / Precision
- Increases stability in powder and deep snow
- Forgiving, which allows the skiers to adapt to the shape of their turns
- Improves agility and progressiveness of skiing

Factory Finish :
SCOTT skis come straight from the factory and have an 88° edge angle resulting from a 3° side angle and a 1° sole angle for excellent performance. So you can get your skis on and hurtle down the slopes with no adjustment needed.

Team review
