The Storm Chaser is a little jewel of the Jonesbrand, it is a special Pow men's snowboard with a swallow (tail) shape inspired by surfboards. The Storm chaser will make you a real powder hunter and will make you want to get up before everyone else to go out and trace first.
Looking for perfection, Jones has improved the Storm Chaser this year by adding carbon reinforcements that ensure this board meets all demands. Carbon Web Fused technology eliminates nose vibration for a smoother ride. The Storm Chaser is therefore more precise and drives like crazy!
The Storm Chaser is an elegant deep powder board, designed by surfer and shaper Chris Christenson. Its profile is similar to that of surfboards and combines with its flat camber a very long progressive front rocker that starts in the middle of the front inserts. With its reduced size and the far back placement of the supports, the nose of the board can be raised very easily by loading the back of the snowboard.
Very short but very wide, the Storm Chaser offers outstanding flotation. It offers incomparable gliding performance thanks to its Spoon 4.0 profile and Channel that make the Storm Chaser a real rocket. The Storm Chaser has a 100% bamboo core as well as bamboo stringers (thin reinforcing blade) also positioned along the edges to give the board a responsive personality and powerful turns.
The Storm Chaser is an atypical and original board with an unusual shape that promises long and beautiful powder-filled curves.
Please note: In an effort to reduce waste, Jones randomly produces the base colours by inverting graphics and backgrounds.
- Camber: Christenson Surf Rocker: nose and tail rocker designed by shaper Chris Christenson. Very long rocker that starts at the front and rear inserts. Maximum powder flotation!

Directional: classic shape with the nose slightly longer than the tail for float on unpacked snow.

Traction Tech 1.0 : The undulating edges offer an edge grip with multiple contact points along the length of the board. This technology offsets the edge drift of the rocker, so that you can firmly lock into any moves.
Progressive Sidecut : The radius at the ends of the sidecut is slightly increased as the edge reaches the contact points. This larger radius ensures a smoother ride when entering and exiting turns.

FSC™ Bamboo Surf Core : Triple-layer bamboo strips along the edges for better reactivity and more powerful turns.
Web Fused Carbon Reinforcement : Stringers adapted according to their place on the core. The central stringers are wider than the end ones. They're adapted to the board's shape and function. Specific to "surf collection" boards, these stringers are largely there to reduce the vibrations of the nose.
- Topsheet:
Biax Fibreglass : double layer of fibreglass applied in both directions for a fun board that forgives small mistakes.
ECO-Plastic TopSheet : recycled plastic obtained from the Ricin plant. This eco-friendly material is ultra-light, scratch-resistant and water-repellent to prevent snow from sticking to the topsheet.
- Sole:
- Sintered 8000 base: base made from UHMW-PE (Ultra-High Molecular Weight Polyethylene) and carbon. Extremely easy to repair, with maximum acceleration and glide.
- FlipFlop base: to minimise waste during the manufacturing process.
- Technologies:
- Oversized Recycled Edges : edges made of recycled steel.
- Recycled Rounded ABS : The ABS plastics in Jones boards are made from recycled plastic.
- Wend Natural Wax : ready to use as soon as they leave the factory, Jones snowboards are already waxed with Wend Natural Wax.
The Storm Chaser that performs best when there is an abundance of powder! Very playful because of its small size, the Storm Chaser is a powder board that reaches crazy speeds when the slope is very steep, requiring very little input to do so.
Part of the new short freeride board generation, the Storm Chaser is made purely for the snowiest conditions. The flat camber and double rockers are very pronounced, that's why the Traction-Tech 1.0 gives good grip when the powder is no longer present.
Advantages : bamboo core, very playful and manoeuvrable.
Disadvantages : the powder turns might be a bit too easy!
