Remote 2

The Remote 2 is a 4-season tent for two people designed by MSR.

This tent is a real small hut. Sturdy, it will reliably protect you from extreme conditions for as long as you need. The high-end materials and construction of the Remote 2 will keep you safe from strong winds and heavy snow.

The frame is composed of a robust shaft and Easton® Syclone™ poles that are virtually invulnerable. The 13 ground clips and 15 guying points allow the canvas to be stretched to the maximum to significantly reduce the impact of wind. This fabric, made from 68D ripstop polyester is extremely solid and has been specifically designed to never let snow enter your tent, even if it is blown by the wind. The floor cover offers a waterproofing of 10.000mm thanks to a trustworthy 40D Dura-Shield nylon.

During high-mountain bivouacs, you may find yourself in conditions where you will have no choice but to shelter in a tent for several hours, several days or even several weeks. During these periods, it is important that the shelter provides you with all the necessary comfort, in order to maintain your mood and help you not to have a mental breakdown because of a shelter that would be too strenuous. This is why the Remote 2 boasts a spacious interior, including a pleasant headroom, as well as a large entrance to store your gear. There are also internal pockets to help you organize your small but necessary items.

When you first see that tent, you think you need a military training to set it up. Well, threaten not, the mounting is very intuitive and facilitated by color codes to avoid difficulties during an emergency mounting if you are caught by the storm for instance.

To top it off, the Remote 2 offers an almost indestructible shelter for all conditions for an extremely low weight (about 3kg) given this type of tent.
