The technical specifications of the ice axe

Ice axes are manufactured under strict standards. There are two classifications for ice axes: basic (B rating) and technical (T rating). The technical mountaineering axe must be able to withstand a load greater than 3.5kN. Choose your ice axe with care. Snowleader gives you all the information needed to avoid confusion.
