    Waterproof rating

    8000
A fabric's ability to prevent water penetration.
Waterproofness is measured in Schmerber (pressure exerted by a water column). Clothing that has a value of 10,000 mm, can withstand 10 m of water. The greater the number, the more waterproof the fabric.

    Shape

    Tarp
Dome: easy to mount, with two hoops that cross each other to reach the four corners. The benefits: a spacious, comfortable, self-standing interior guaranteed to protect against both wind and rain, but with a moderate wind resistance. Recommended for hiking and camping.

Tipi: lightweight, option to modify the structure by moving the central pole (that could very well be your own hiking stick), the wind resistance is not optimal, especially due to its height. Recommended for minimalist enthusiasts.

Tunnel: Lightweight and highly resistant to wind (provided it is well oriented). As a drawback, the mounting can be delicate, and this type of tent is not self-standing. Recommended for hiking, trekking and mountaineering.

Geodesic: equipped with hoops that meet at several points, offers both excellent wind resistance in any direction and a vast interior space, while being comfortable and self-standing. Recommended for alpine trekking and all other expeditions in challenging conditions.

Tarp: these tents (or rather these "shelters") are composed of one or two straight pegs with a thin protection similar to a "light tarpaulin". Recommended to use for quick bivouacs during kind weather conditions (although it protects against light rain showers).

2 seasons: Spring/Summer. Suitable for bivouacking from late spring to early autumn in mild conditions.

3 seasons: Spring/Summer/Autumn. They are designed for travelling, bivouacking, and are capable of withstanding difficult conditions in the mountains: heavy rain, storms, wind. They find their limits in harsh winter conditions.

4 seasons: All year round, at all altitudes and latitudes, everywhere in the world. They are resistant to strong winds and snow storms. These are the shelters used in base camps, on expeditions and in high mountains.

    Detailed description

The Lightent 2 from Ferrino is an ultra-light 2 man tent. Lightent 2 has been improved this season in terms of the waterproofness of the floor mat and the quality of its poles and roof adjustment systems.

A leading reference in its category, the Lightent 2 is a perfect tent for hiking over several days. Its weight of around 1.85 kg and its compactness make this a perfect tent if you want equipment which doesn't take up too much space, but which is made of safe, reliable material to ensure you have a comfortable night's sleep.

Its double 3000 mm waterproof Ripstop roof is designed for ambitious hikers who are looking for a very light, compact and reliable tent. Its new floor mat now offers a waterproofness of 8000 mm for optimal protection in case of bad weather.

The Lightent 2 is also equipped with new preformed duraluminium poles that increase the room's comfort. Its mosquito net interior and roof provide good insulation from the sun and cold. Its adjustment system at the level of the anchors has been revised so that it is easier to put up and stays more durable over time.

The Lightent 2 tent is reliable, easy to set up and will quickly be forgotten about once on your back. It is a perfect tent for trekkers, hikers, cyclists. In short a good quality/price ratio for for this very high-performing tent.

Lightent 2 is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 77.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Testée par tous temps Superbe produit.
