The Nitro Doppleganger splitboard is a touring snowboard for experienced to expert men who are looking for a splitboard that is easy to ride uphill and reliable downhill. Nitro has adapted its Power Pods technology to its Doppleganger splitboard which is now equipped with Hike Pods. The Hike Pods have an undulation at the waist only. The Hikes Pods provide grip on the inside edge of your bindings and thus limit the lack of grip that splitboards typically have.
But if you've chosen the Doppleganger, you know what happens after each climb! So yes, after you've climbed all the way up, the real fun starts after removing your skins and assembling your Doppleganger. Ready to drop down the slope, the Doppleganger will make you float with ease and speed in freshly fallen powder. You will go down 100 times faster than you climbed up!
The Doppleganger will take you higher than the resort's lifts to reach those peaks that you have been dreaming about for a few winters now. The Doppleganger is a perfect splitboard for those freeride routes in which your board will need to demonstrate perfect handling to allow you to take on any tricky descents.
For all riders who are looking for a break from the crowds and want to get away from the powder and freeride lines, the Doppleganger will take you to the closest peaks to let you recharge your batteries before the thrill of the ride!
Cam-Out (Camber+Rocker): classic camber under the feet for the grip and dynamism associated with rocker boards, offering greater float on powder and a board that is a little more tolerant than a classic camber board designed without rocker.
Directional Splitboard : classic shape with the nose slightly longer than the tail for float on unpacked snow. Tapered refers to a shape in which the tip is wider than the tail, making it easier to enter and exit turns, allowing for greater stability at high speeds, and improved float.
Progressive Sidecut : Wider turn radius on the front of the board. Promotes increased acceleration at the end of a turn, while the nose reduces any bumps in the snow.
7/10 All Terrain Very rigid flex. Versatile flex for guaranteed responsiveness and all-mountain pop.
Koroyd™ Core : The latest core technology, using co-extruded, vertically aligned and welded miniature tubes with unique energy absorption properties. Koroyd™ is about 70% lighter than standard balsa wood, without loss of strength or flex. This technical core is used to reduce the moving mass and the total weight
Diamond Laminates : full carbon topsheet for a powerful and high performance board.
Sintered Speed Formula HD base : abrasion resistant sole with high wax absorption capacity for very fast speed setting.

The Doppleganger is a high performance board that gives you the ability to go fast on all types of changing snow. In spite of its freeride behaviour, the Doppelganger is still a very accessible touring snowboard.
The Doppleganger is pleasant and manoeuvrable at both low and high speeds. Its rather imposing weight means you will feel the Doppleganger on the way up which could tire you out when you decide to embark on longer routes. The Doppleganger is ideal for intense rides that you can get to after a moderate approach walk from the lift.
Advantages : reliable and and grip.
Disadvantages : its weight will be tough on your thighs!
